Another tremendous day in Derwent Hill
Good evening everyone,
Another thrilling day where we have again really pushed and challenged ourselves. Mrs Norton's group had fun learning more about the Derwent Hill grounds during orienteering - and enjoying the glorious sunshine - this morning. This afternoon they had a fantastic time on the lake whilst canoeing. I think some were daredevils and jumped in the freezing water!
Miss Cullen's group spent the morning gorge walking which proved extremely challenging - including putting wet suits on! The children were fantastic and were jumping in from all angles. This afternoon we completed the famous 'Death swing'. We all worked together as a team getting people to the top of the tree and then unhooking them once they were back down. Even Miss Cullen had a go!
And what better way to finish the evening than a beautiful night walk up to Latrigg. Outstanding views!
